I find it amusing, that the poll published by CBS News indicates Poll: 4 in 5 Support Full-Body Airport Scanners. Given the grass-roots revolt that currently is building against the TSA, one wonders how this could be? After all, from another CBS News story, "Senators and TSA Defend "Love Pats" at Airports," if you happen to scroll down to the on-line poll on the latter story, CBS News asks the question "What do you think about about the new invasive airport security screenings and all the hoopla surrounding them?"
86% answer with the following choice, "Enough with the scans and pat-downs! They're an invasion of civil liberties."
In other words, CBS News lies. Now, I know some of you may not be surprised by this; I'm not. But to see it so easily and clearly, is quite amazing.
Now, we see almost daily news about the latest abuses from the TSA on Drudge and other websites. But a few examples:
TSA Pat-Down Leaves Bladder Cancer Survivor Humiliated and Covered In Urine, Young Boy Strip-Searched, Woman with 2 Artificial Knees Describes Sexual Assualt By Screener, Tears After Rough Skirt Search, Cancer-surviving flight attendant forced to remove prosthetic breast.
Clearly, people are becoming aware of the Main-Stream Media lies.
And like any liar, they lose credibility, and are increasingly ignored, if not ridiculed. And in the news business, where credibility is everything, this translates into their slow and well-deserved death.
